CM repot

Post by melbrackstone »

Has anyone found that crepe myrtle does better with deeper pots in the sub tropics?

Even the large one I have seems to wilt quickly, and it's in a much deeper pot than it should be...

or maybe it's just the diatomite turning into clag.... :(

Also, does anyone in Brisbane know where to get pumice? I've looked at Fernland, and the transport costs are pretty high. The other place I've found is in Sydney, and cartage is $20 per bag for a $24 bag!

I have a large in a normal depth pot and all is good.
I find the first year after repot it's growth is all really just fuzzy green foliage. Really weird and have posted it before

Cheers Todd, I might just have to take a drive up there! :)

I remember that growth problem Ken...I'm not having anything like that, all the new leaves are popping nicely after repotting, but they seem to be heat affected more easily...and am wondering if I need to take that into consideration when repotting next time.
