Double White Flowering Peach - Ramification

Post by wiggs »

Hey All,

I was wanting to get stuck into this today, repot and refinement, and then I actually looked more and more and was a little undecided exactly which way to go.

Not sure if to remove majority of the left side and a lot of the time branching to bring down the general height of the tree.

Welcome any input?

Some good potential there, but the angle where the trunk continues after the trunk chop puts me off a bit - would you consider cutting right back to the low left branch, then leaning ti over to the left, so the trunk moves harmoniously outwards?

Just a thought. There aren't a lot of these about, so it's good to see.

I really like GavinG's idea... a radical chop but I reckon it would set a stronger foundation for the future.

Whatever you do - go with what you want and enjoy. Excellent potential there.

No i definately don’t discount your suggestion as it was one of my thoughts also.

There is 1-2 buds about to burst should I do it now before it really comes alive?

Yep, now's the time. I can't see much in the top stuff worth layering.

Don't waste too much time trying to bonsai peaches. Put in in the garden and forget about it.
