Cottoneaster

I have had this plant for a while now and I have decided that it needs to more windswept that it currently is so that is the task for the coming months.
In the mean time the berries are looking quite nice and before the birds come and eat them I thought a photo then take the berries off myself so there wont be more in the natural environment.

Nothing for scale but this looks like one of the larger leaf weedy species.
Mostly round here they have a straight trunk so finding something with a bit of thickness and low bends is a bonus. I like what you have done with it.

Note that correct spelling is Cotoneaster and is pronounced Co tone e aster so nothing to do with either cotton or easter despite the berries coming at this time of year.

Nice cot-tony-aster. It looks like the one I call glaucophyllus.

Looks good Watto. Is it silver edged, or is the underside of the leaf a bit furry? I've not seen much Cotoneaster here in Qld.

I believe it is a weed around here too and that is the reason I take the berries off before the birds get to them.
I also believe it is glaucophyllus and it is more tree like that the cotoneasters that are grown in older gardens.
The underside of the leaf is furry but it has a good look when grown in pots I think.
