It would be great if he did.... It is a little different to the normal flowering quince in that it is a dwarf variety.

Anyone else?

Hi Jow, I just spoke to Peter Teese at the Yamina wholesale nursery and he has tubestock of pink, red and white. If you are interested let me know and I will grab some for you. In fact I will probably grab a couple of trays anyway.

Hi Jow, they are chaenomeles japonica if that translates to chojubai then the answer is yes. I will pick some up in the next couple of weeks.

Tiny leaves, short internodes and tiny red or very light yellow flowers. Perfect for small bonsai.

Hi Jow, I googled it seems it is a much lower growing form which explains the fine twigs, I have seen plenty of them in my Kokufu books and always assumed chojubai was just the Japanese name for chaenomeles, now I know its a selected form.

I don't know if this form is in the country or not, I would suspect not. Chaenomeles are not much grown in the nursery industry these days along with so many other good plants. I will ask around anyway.
