Council Weed Raid

Post by kvan64 »

Some people here may remember I mentioned about a local creek that has about 20 - 30 wisterias that flower profusely every year. Well, I drove pass the area today just ot find out that the council has done its job again - kill those obnoxious and invasive weeds: wisteria floribunda.
I rushed in the place and found out that most of them have been mulched down to the ground. There must be some huge stumps somewhere but I I couldn't find them as the ground was cover in a layer of mulch.
I however, manage to pull a few thick sections close to the base of some trees that were not completely chopped.

Right there Ken. Good idea. I'll wait for them to shoot up and dig next winter. Anyone near by want some thick cutting is welcome to have some. Just let me know. Wisteria floribundas are known to strike easily from thick cuttings.
Cheers
