My neighbours said I could have this variegated ficus, Thank You!!!
So I went about practising some air layers... 6 in total

Nice thick trunk but terrible root fair and no nebari...

Perfect I said, I have been waiting for an opportunity to try this...

Placed sphag moss around toothpicks and soil over the top.

Whether or not the time is right for such activities, I'm not sure. But I felt nothing but satisfaction after my mornings work :clap: :clap:

So 3 air layers were successful. The ones that didn't take had no rooting hormone put on them :palm:
The toothpick method I have yet to check on...

I have one about 3 times the size of this one with 3 layers on it as well.

So I decided to have a look abd see if I was successful with the "tooth pick" method... Semi fail! I will re-work it tonight and do it again, :fc: :fc:
