Gave the fig a little trim/haircut today ...back in silhouette.

Lovely tree Anthony. I have no ficus as bonsai but I think I better get one - one day! I think I have narrowed it down to two preferred type for me - both not easy to find around my area in Cheltenham Melbourne.

Ficus nerifolia – Willow leaf fig
Ficus rubiginosa – Port Jackson fig and variation “Little Ruby”

I am assuming yours is the latter.

Thanks Mark, yes the latter

Both species are very hardy and mine stay out in all weather here, but definitely no frost.

Only thing ruby is very slow to put on trunk fat.

Anybody in your club that could offer you some material or nearby nursery.
