I kind of like the green pot. The colour is very well suited to this species. Just my opinion though.
Always we hope someone else has the answer.

What species of fig is this (and hoping that I haven't missed it if it is included above).

Nice work and a great decision to keep it low and compact. Great proportions.

Kvan64, yeah... not sure with this tree. I like the little ribs on this pot, kinda matching Ronin's character as a wandering Samurai.

A stick in a pot is better than no stick at all. Remember even the best bonsai started as a stick.
