Hey all. I have a lot of figs at the moment, this one is one of my favourites. It needs a lot of work though...I like the trunk. Collected this one in 2010 sometime.

Hey Joel,

Im not to sure what species it is as I collected it from a creek - in Brisbane. It does look like the pics of Ficus superba - henneana on google. I have been calling it a Whites Fig, thats what I thought it was.

Adam.

Ficus jinseng. It was bought as a tiny 2 root fig almost 3 years ago, Planted in a latge packet and forgotten. The roots escaped to the ground.
Ground layered a year ago and removed. The ground layer bridged...I left it like this for now. Will try to develop roots to fill the gap of the reverse taper. If it does not happen it will be cut off .

Thought I'd chuck up a pic of my PJ,

This is it a couple of weeks after a defoliation mid December
Image

And this is it now after a good bit of feeding

Letting it grow out for now, was considering maybe another defol but I might just let the new growth harden and trim again next year, we'll see what comes but I'm pretty happy with this years growth so far.
