Ficus- utilising a sacrifice.

Post by anthonyW »

This is a fig that would sit for years up the back just growing on with a sacrifice to help put more weight on around the butt and grown proportionally to aid in the design.

As the fig is more squat in statue, I would push all growth up....cheers

Great progress Anthony, but I can't seem to get my eyes away from that crossing root.

I love seeing how these squat trees evolve, thanks Anthony. I'm guessing it's not a sacrifice anymore?

Thanks Guys

Hi Pearcy, yes the aerial root, some like it, some hate it...it could fuse in time, maybe, different ?...I am watching it , no biggie, bottom line it hasn t annoyed me yet :)

Hi Mel, in most cases I remove the sacrifices, but in this case my vision was to use it in the design...as a true sacrifice growing giving maximum energy /power no it is not ....BUT where it is positioned and still growing somewhat measured and checked it still adding in a sense...phew hope that makes sense Mel, can you make the questions easier next time please mate  :D

cheers Anthony
