New baby

Post by Elmer »

This bonsai thing is really quite addictive so when my friend said his bougainvillea needed some structural pruning I jumped at the chance to get some advanced material. As I only have a small courtyard I am going to try to keep only small trees and this chunk looked perfect. :fc:

Wish me luck

Hi Elmer,
Bougies are pretty tough, so with a bit of luck it'll throw out some roots & shoots. Just have to be patient, it's had a big shock.
Cheers, Frank. :fc:

Thanks Frank, my friend has said much the same, also showed me one of his monster bougy bonsai that he found flat cut in may it took 6mths to do anything but is now stunning. He also left a couple of other bits that were earmarked for removal so worst case we can try again :D
