The life of a boug

Post by Andrew »

I was lucky enough to get this boug from my bro-in-laws house 2 years an 6 months ago.its was half underneath a concrete slab and i happen to pop by one day when it had just been cut down to about 30cm from the ground.another 20 mins and it would have been 0cm from the ground.foliage pads still have to thicken up an i would like to bring the left had branch down abit more buts its getting there.looking foward to letting it flower this year.

Nice :-)
Make sure you harden the deadwood well to stop it rotting

Hi Andrew
I have been out of bonsai for several years but would like to share my boug Smartipants with you. Unfortunately it got a fungl disease during my wife's long ilness. It's now dead. The pot is 56cm long to give you an idea of size

WOW.....................................................................................................................................................................
Nice Foliage, nice carving, nice pot. well done mate, she's a ripper, really really nice. I onlt have one small criticism and that is the moss. I'm not sure whether it's been recently transplanted and it will come good or if it's like that in general. Personally I like star moss because it is a rich green with a good consistent cover and stays green all year round .Such a moss would really compliment the well chosen pot.

Good luck to ya Andrew.

Hi Andrew

I am not a great moss fan - just like a little around the roots
