120 years old Japanese Box Hedge.

The buildings are over 120 years and documentations show that the hedge around the flagpole is approximagtely the same age with the buildings. We are scheduled to move to a different workplace around the end of 2010. The boss knows nothing about who the place will be sold to and he wouldn't care to find out either. I have a feeling that the hedge will be dug up and thrown away by who ever buys this place

I'm sure that these Japanese Box will make great bonsai as the bases are as big as tea pots and the plants are only under 50cm tall and have great shapes as the branches are trimmed periodically. What a waste!!!

So ask your boss if you can 'take some work home' ! Maybe if you just asked for one, noone would notice too much if it went on holiday?

your boss will probably let you have the lot of them if ya ask DK. try and get as much of the rootball as possible and try not to mess with it to much, i have found they hate it. i reckon i have written that about 10 times today.

if you can get them to survive you will have some sweet trees

You got to get atleast one of those, especially if there is documentation to attest to their age.
