My littly Cyprus

Post by Firecat »

My little 'variegated Cyprus. 'Any clues to it's name or origin would be appreciated.

2 years in Japanese pot..Re potted 3 times back into same home..
Wired twice.
Trimmed every second month even through winter.

Winter coloring is deep green.
Spring shows shades of lighter green to yellow with fawn to off white veining along branches in Summer.

I'd say that is a juniper, Firecat. Hard to tell many of them apart also complicated by the fact that nurseries have been selling many under different names at different times but I'll take a punt and say it is a variety of Juniperus chinensis :fc:
There are several variegated juniper varieties that have more or less gold or white patches of foliage. There are also a few that are golden on the new tips.
Maybe someone else has a more definite ID?
