Hi all I'm new on here and thought it would be a great place to try ID this random bush i found in my yard that I'm attempting to turn into a bonsai.
Here is it originally
Then i chopped it real low and sealed it
Then a few month later i let it grow removing other low branches so only one is growing strong
So what is this unknown tree? I've seen them around but don't think ive seen one as a bonsai.
Cheers
Grant

Grant, try Brazillian Pepper tree, there is a male and female, female flowers prolifically, male has insignificant lime green racemes of flowers. I have a major stump growing in my back yard I have considered it, but like I haven't got enough plants now.
Hope this helps

The stump I have in my backyard would impress you then, I think it's about forty years old, has excellent bark, am about to chainsaw it out, not sure how it will handle the rough treatment but if it is as hardy as they say it should make a good tree in about 5 years or so. Keep ya updated.
