Can anyone ID

Post by wal »

I know it's not much to go on but hoping to get an ID this tree ..was atleast 20ft and very weeping in nature
For a large tree its leaves are tiny.... also had seed pod things very similar to paperbark / bottlebrush only smaller

Regards
Wal

Hello Wal,

A few good pictures of the tree would help with the ID.
Photos of growth habit, leaves, fruit, bark, flowers (if any).

If it's strongly weeping I'd say viminalis. Probably Dawson River. They can get quite large with trunks 30cm in diameter. Bark is rough and dark grey (Not papery)

foliage looks like m.stypheliodes but I would expect papery bark on an old tree. I am confident it is one of the melaleuca's
