This was one of the first bonsai (stick in a pot) I ever bought, picked it up as a seeding from Bunnings one day about 5 years ago
Has gone through a few changes since then and also developed a couple cuttings from this little guy.
I love how crazy these things grow just wish I could thicken them up quicker. Oh well might have a great tree in 20 years
Any they have all been over grown so did some work on this one and one of the cuttings
Some of the cuttings

Me too. Mine has been slip potted once in the last 2.5 years and I’ve been telling myself I really should do something with it.pebble wrote:This was one of the first bonsai (stick in a pot) I ever bought, picked it up as a seeding from Bunnings
Can I ask when in the season you have taken cuttings?

Cotoneaster corokia
They are in a potting mix I buy from my local bonsai nursery, bonsai south at Caringbah.
Bark is on top
All my bonsai in grow pots get bark and the bonsai pots get pebbles
Sorry not sure when I did the cuttings, I feel like they would take anytime of the year if the conditions were keep right. I think I did them in a propagation tray.

Re: Cotoneaster corokia
Corokia Cotoneaster is the correct botanical name. The C in Cotoneaster should be in lower case as it is the species name, Corokia is the genus.

Re: Cotoneaster corokia
And I used to pronounce it
cotton-easter
but I think I am correct in saying the pronunciation is
cot-own-ee-asta
Is that right?
Bonsai teaches me patience.
