selfseeded in several of my pots.
Any ideas? Worth potting up and training?

Looks like a Privet to me. Possibly small leaf Privet. They are ok for bonsai.

I'd agree. looks like small leaf privet. Very hardy and responds well to pruning. Small leaf means you can try for smaller size bonsai.
This one is pretty small. Keep looking. I'm sure there will be some older ones that have better trunks somewhere in the area.
