Golden Zelkova

Post by BB Brian »

Picked this one up on my lunch break and can see a few options. Open to any crazy ideas.
First photo looks like front
Considering 1 or 2 airlayers for broom style, heard it is perfect season for it and not sure if thick cuttings will work.

Thanks guys.

LOL! You couldn't help yourself!

You might think im crazy but this is my suggestion... Windswept Raft.

Im sure that you could use more branches in this composition than that there is currently shown in my below example

Haha, had to do it.
That idea is nuts bro, but I'm considering it.

Treeman I left the tree at work by accident. Will have to go in tomorrow and pick it up and take a photo of the tag.
If you're after the species it's Golden Zelkova.

I'm struggling a bit to find much about "Golden Zelkova" ... maybe I should look a bit harder but I can't come up with much in terms of info for these trees :?: Would love some info.
Foliage etc.. looks great, are they essentially like a serrata?

Perhaps it is a form of European Elm known as Golden Elm.

Apparently there is a golden zelkova but banong's tree looks like an elm to me. (not that there's anything wrong with that!)
