There must be hundreds of species in SA that have leaves like that.
For accurate ID you need more than leaves. I'd need to know:

habit - tree, shrub, herb, grass, etc. Height, shape of mature plant, etc
bark - peeling, fibrous, smooth, ridged, etc
habitat - dry, swamp, deep soild, hills, coast, etc. Location you saw it may also give some clues, especially if it is native.
flowers and seed are often needed to accurately differentiate between some species.

A picture is worth a thousand words was never so true as in ID plants. Ausbonsai pics must be under 1mb so you may have to reduce the file size before they will upload. There's a thread with how to viewtopic.php?f=97&t=161

Thanks for the reply! I have a feeli....... I, Uhh, Yeah.... i have realised in the last few hours that i know diddley squat about trees...lol
Iv been crazily searching all day for 3 plant types and its doing my head in..

Funnily enough, one was simply......'The Common Fig'..... haha.

I'll expand my 'identification knowledge' and learn the keywords then get back to this. Should be up to scratch in 13-15 hours. (Inc.sleep)

Please dont remove this thread, i Will update it.

I'll also try to tweak the quality of my pictures down far enough to post pictures - thats a first for me -

Thanks again for the reply, ANY advice is Appreciated - by anyone.

Anything is helpful at this point Lol.
I was originally led to believe they were some type of chilli bush, thanks to a stupid app i downloaded.

Im not even sure if these are a tree or a shrub lol.
Im looking at them as a "Yamadori" for now, its got the "nebari" to support the idea atleast.

Now that you mention it our little chilli looks like this. We’ve had two in the vege garden now and they’ve not thrived so it’s hard to get an idea about the leaves as there aren’t many on mine.
