I planted this seedling a couple of years ago. I think its a dawn redwood but not sure and cant remember!

It's certainly a pine of some sort, not a redwood.
In the blue darkening sky, the moon paints a pine tree.

Yes. Sorry I should clarify. I planted redwood at the same. I definitely planted Giant Sequioa in another pot and they have come up (much more obvious). I planted a couple of other things. Can't remember what...TimS wrote:It's certainly a pine of some sort, not a redwood.

Well it's a 2 needle pine so it's not Radiata pine haha. I'd say Japanese Black pine, the colour of the bud (Silver) is the same as Black pines. Japanese Red pine buds in my experience are a darker brown colour
