Juniper??

Post by Mitch_28 »

Any ideas whether this is a type of juniper. Thinking of taking some cuttings to how they go.

Hi Mitch_28 , mate you might be able to find a few self ground layers under all that foliage .

Follow some of the trunks back and I'm sure you will locate a few branches with roots attached .

They make nice bonsai. The Japanese use them a lot but they take 2 forevers to thicken.

I concur with Treeman. I've taken a few self grown ground layers from the ground cover growing around our unit and they are very slow to get a good thickness of trunk, they mostly want to grow long.
