Checked my posts before the board index cause I haven't been on for the week and answered to Matt and then found your entries.

Keep em coming Matt

Really good to see the entries piling in people. Some good stuff on offer. Keep it up and make our job as difficult as possible. ;)

There was a discussion on here as to the need for a Shohin Page but it got shot down. The display will have to wait as I am in the middle of getting things ready for the May Convention, there is to be a presentation by yours truly so I have to rehearse my lines.
When you suck up to Pup, it is usually done with a litre of Chivers regal, and a carton of Kilkenny. OOPS forgot the humorous laughing emoticon     :tounge:

G'day,

I've received the teeny tiny display table from jozaeh for the Peoples Choice award and the winner is in for a real treat! Josh's workmanship and attention to detail are truly spectacular!

That is absolutely stunning! What timber is it made from?

Good luck to everyone that has entries in, think I will comb my benches for something that might appeal enough to win.

Hey Guys,
This particular one for the competition prize is actually made from New Guinea Rosewood, i've been trying out some different wood other than the usual red cedar lately. And boy the reds in the rosewood grain come up so well with a little oil.

And i'm glad you like it!

No, you had not be doing Bonsai at the opening of the Competition.

It does have to be your tree though, one you have styled not one you bought.

Cheers Pup

G'day,

So far we have had 59 entries across the 3 categories;

Category 1 - 26
Category 2 - 26
Category 3 - 7

Just over 1 week to go before the competition will close. Everyone who is waiting for that extra week of growth (Brett ;) ) had better start getting ready to take your pictures.

Regards,
Steven

Sorry to say I might not make it in this year. The plan was to tart up the lilly pilly with a defoliation. Should have had just enough time but an early frost put an end to that plan :shifty:
If I get enough time to take a decent picture I will throw in a controversial entry just for the fun of it :fc:

My 2 for Cat 1 have both looked like they have carked it :o

Repotted both about 2 months ago and 1 ( melaleuca) id brown and dead, the other (Leptospermum) dropped most of its leave withing a week of potting and the remaining leaves are slowly giong grey

I have no idea what happened to either as they have each been repotted ( in plastic pots) before in the same mix, and neither had verry much root taken off.
the weather was mild up till 2 weeks ago, so they did not dry out or stay wet, so have no idea :?:

If somebody could please help clarify this. I may have missed this in the introduction but is it possible to submit the same tree for more than one category?

Thanks.
