Thanks for the feedback all.
Here's a little rose from my collection. It was probably looking it's best earlier in he week but I missed it as I was in Japan visiting bonsai nurseries

Re: Showing my Shohin
Just defoliated this little Trident as the leaves were badly burnt from the recent hot days. It's progressing well and the scars have almost entirely healed.

Lovely collection Steven...and pots all suit the trees so well. Thanks for sharing...it gives us newbies lots of food for thought and incentive to keep trying.

Re: Showing my Shohin
Amazing ramification in something so small. Until you've tried it you probably don't really appreciate just how much dedication it takes to get such a tiny tree looking like that.

Re: Showing my Shohin
Hi Mel, this one is a few years older than those ones but it has been grown using the same techniques.
Here's a little Chojubai Quince root cutting that's looking cute with flowers. I'll let the fruit grow and will post an updated picture.
Regards,
Steven

Thanks for letting me know Steven, it's good to know the work you put in early pays dividends.
Also good to share that link again, I think.

Re: Showing my Shohin
Hi all,
Here are a couple of my tree's that I've worked on this week.
First is taller than shohin but it is in a shohin pot (does that count?). A Trident that I've had since 2012. Just defoliated it to get rid of the burnt leaves and added a little bit of wire to a couple of branches.
Next is a Port Jackson Fig I purchased in 2013 from the estate of the late Jim David who was a member of the School of Bonsai.
Following is how it looked when I purchased it.
Regards,
Steven

Re: Showing my Shohin
Hi Steven,
Always fantastic to see updates on this thread... so many shohin - so little time! I enjoy looking at them all. Just wondering how the ground layer turned out on the Celtis you did last September, and also what you ended up doing with the Serissa in terms of styling from about the same time? Would love to see them now if you get a chance. Great trees!
