shohin banksia

Post by shibui »

I potted up this little banksia in December (or maybe January :lost:)

I am assuming it is B. integrifolia but could be B. marginata - grown from seed a couple of years ago.
It has grown considerably while I was not looking  and it is definitely time for a trim. Regular pinching would have created more ramification but at least the roots will be well established now.

This one has very small leaves but I'm not sure whether that is due to genetics or conditions - should strike some cuttings to see whether they get larger leaves if allowed to grow freely under ideal conditions.

That looks great Neil - very good leaf size especially if you haven't been pinching.
