Juniper procumbens nana

Post by kez »

Hey all,

Here's a cheap little juni I picked up at the big green shed as I was bored and felt like having a play around.

A before shot (sorry, this was on the iphone, wasn't sure if I would make anything good out of it so didnt bother with the DSLR)

and the after

Pretty happy with the result, needs to be refined but all in good time. The tree is around 20cm tall at the moment.

Hope you all enjoy

Definitely Enjoyed.

Well done Kez your doing great!
As you say a bit more refining will take it to the next level but this is off to a ripping start.
One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Well done Kez. I really like the trunk movement on the tree.

Great initial styling.

Never seen such good material come out of that place! I recently bought a similar juni from a bonsai nursery for $70 probably not as attractive as this either. Looks great already. looking forward to an update.

Hi Kez,
Starting to look really good. Junipers love foliage feeding. Keep up the good work.

Hi all,

It's amazing the trees you can get from Bunnings; I picked up a Japanese Maple a couple of years ago and it now seems ready to take off. I might have a poke around for a Juni like the one in this thread. :tu:

Cheers,

Brad75.

Hi Kez, Great work, I must pay more attention on my visits to the big green shed if this is what you can find. Only real problem is there supplies are rather erratic, see something once and never again. Once again, really impressed keep us posted, Michael.
