This thread needs an epicness warning.
One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

I'm not so convinced on the virtual - looks a bit thin, unnatural and too "pom pom" like for mine.
It removes the feeling I get of the foliage struggling to to grow back towards the prevailing winds.
....Proof is here that Steven know's what he's doing though!

The Serrisa Steve.

Here's how I see this one. Firstly I really like it. How about bringing the trunk in closer to the stone, bending the crown to the right so it sits more vertically and closer to the upper trunk and removing the lower leaves to show the branch structure.
Nice little jasmine too!

Thanks for your thoughts and the virt Mike. I agree that the trunk should be compressed and I'll work on that soon.

Last night I layered the following Celtis as the base was ugly, it was a little tall and I wanted to change the angle. Following are the steps I took:
