Hi all,

here is an elm that I bought as rough nursery stock for a student but then it was not needed and sat around for a while so I cut it down by about 2/3rds and waited for it to resprout; which it did profusely. The next spring I removed easily 90% to 95%+ of the roots to get it from an 8"200mm pot into a shallow Tokoname pot. Got some root cuttings off it as well.

I am really getting into smaller bonsai.

For this season I let the new growth elongate and harden off then cut back hard.

This is where its at now, it will bud agin soon and I will do a winter thin out next winter.
