Shohin PJF

Post by anthonyW »

Hi Guys

Utilising a sacrifice into your structure...stands 9 1/2 inches tall...enjoy for now ...cheers

Might be time to let it grow..I find keeping pjf this small no easy feat with small leaves...I think big medium to large trees is where there really suited.
Looking seriously to double its height and open it up..as most know it grows at a cracking pace in the temperate zone.

Nice tree. Great ramification and nice small leaves.
I found that my small figs just kept getting fatter. Seems they are one of the few that put on weight even when kept trimmed and in a small pot so eventually I was forced to increase the size anyway.
Don't be in too much of a hurry to increase the size. There are lots of larger figs but few good smaller ones.

Lovely little tree!
One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

I love a shohin.
I’m not all that familiar with figs but the ramification you’ve produced at this scale isn’t something I’ve see that often on a fig.
Love it.
I’m with Shibui, keep it shohin for as long as is practicable in my book, perhaps a decrease in pot size might slow it down and give you a bit longer before it grows on if possible?
Nice.

Great tree, lovely proportions and well ramified. You and your back will appreciate your smaller trees when you're older!

Matt.

Yes mate - Tapatalk issues and I am not in a position to access my laptop. I should be able to do that tomorrow. I think there’s a fix in the wind - no rush - all cool.
