Chopped it, but have not decided on the exact actions. Will depend on where the plant back buds, so I left myself several options.

I decided to do some more chopping today after I saw the buds and shoots emerging. So I decided to settle on plan 3 Removed the sacrifice branch also since it was not connected to the trunk but to the roots system.
Removed the middle trunk.

The entry missed out on the june update and was move to the "withdrwan forum" then.

On second reading of that, I was wron then as the post you made in April will cover that quarter

Thanks ken. Very kind of you. I have around 10 durantas...and when in leaf they all look the same to me. This one was shifted to the new plot on the new shelves and I forgot it is there. But I have been working on it and repotted it. Just that I dont have bonsai pots but tried to make some today that look like bonsai pots from concrete.

It had a trim few days ago. So far I have been treating it like an acer...pinch to one internode to avoid the long internodes. Still has a long way to go.
