• Species name: Ficus benjamina
• Original height of stock: 10 cm
• Where you obtained it from: cutting, originally from Fort Collins Nursery
• Cost of stock: $0, original tree was $15 (I think)
This is the second cutting taken from this tree. The cutting was just taken on March 20 as seen in this thread. viewtopic.php?f=133&t=14912
I decided to go ahead and enter this even though it is just a cutting to push the limits of what is possible in 18 months. It won't be finished in 18 months for sure, but I plan on following the instructions outlined in this tutorial viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6717, which should give some decent looking results by the end.
Of course, there is some chance that the cutting won't take off and I'll be tossing a dead twig soon. Let's hope not.

Re: [lackhand] Ficus benjamina 1
This little tree isn't really much of a contender for the compo, but still worth updating. It hasn't pushed the growth like my other ficus cuttings, but it's still around and growing a little bit at least.

Another casualty report here. This little guy was on the back of the bench and didn't get watered while I was working out of town for six weeks. Sadly it wasn't the only one, but lesson learned. If the wife has to water, make sure she can see them all!
