What a cool tree!
I have trouble growing rosemary, but I'd love to develop something like this.

This bonsai hadn't changed much over recent times and I decided a bit of re-designing was in order. Not substantially but the "helmet head" look could be better. With that in mind I decided a hard trim, especially in the middle of the foliage pad was needed as well as some defined areas of the bonsai. This work is about half way but the remaining work is now on hold for the winter (it gets a bit cold here sometimes!).
The search for the perfect pot continues..............

Just a quick up-date on this one as well, just because I was inspired. The definition of the pads is progressing and in the near future I will flatten the foliage out in keeping with the windswept look.

As always I'm impressed and inspired by this tree. Do you have any thoughts on what shape and style of pot you'd want to show this to its best? I'm useless when it comes to pairing trees with pots.

Originally I thought square but I am now thinking round. A bit smaller than this, especially the depth, but hopefully when I see it, it will speak to me.

How deep does it need to be ? What about a granite slab ? If your interested let me know and I can bring a few to choose from at the CBS show . Great tree . It made me go and dig one and I really don't won't anymore trees .

It has to be reasonably deep because of the root system. Although a slab may be interesting........

Gotta admit I really like this one!
