Did some wiring and trimming a couple of weeks ago.
Trying to keep a bit of foliage on to thicken the trunk and hide a couple of screws.

Pinched heavily over the weekend.
Trunk has come off the deadwood so that will need attention.
If there's one thing this comp is highlighting is my rubbish efforts at photography.
2D photos do this tree no justice, I need to read up on bonsai photography.

This tree is testing me, it continually reverts to the ugly and unworkable needle foliage and it's appearance has gone backwards since the last update, it needs minimal foliage to show the delicate structure but it protests this treatment with said needle foliage.
When this comp is done I'm going to seek out a suitable shimpaku to attach to the deadwood and start again.
