Grevillea diminuta "Australian Beauty"
Described as "Small evergreen shrub with cascading branches, with pendulous clusters of pink and red flowers in late Spring".
The leaves are tiny.
I bought this Grevillea after seeing the wonderful shohin Ruth McL of the Canberra Bonsai Society created with several varieties of Grevillea. I hope I can also achieve something worthwhile with the present plant.

Good luck with that project Lisa. I have seen some of Ruth's grevillea bonsai at a couple of shows and she has made some really great bonsai. Unfortunately they don't seem to like me for some reason.

Thanks for the good wishes. My luck with natives has been very mixed, with Kunzea and Melaleuca proving the easiest. I'll wait for Ruth's advice before doing any major work on this Grevillea. Anyway, it's too late in the season for repotting and serious pruning.

Thanks, Neil. I heard recently that G. diminuta dislikes extensive pruning. I cut mine back far too much.
At the same time as I bought the diminuta, I also got a lot of other small natives, among which 3 other Grevilleas and those are doing fine. (Touch wood) I think that until I know each variety I get a lot better, it's a matter of being patient and moderate in any work I do on them.
