Got this as part of a bunch of plants so I guess like 5 bucks

I cut the trunks back a couple of weeks ago so I hope it's still eligible :)

Damn guess I didn't get to updating this in time.

Anyway here.it is, I defoliated it last week so I could see the branches.

Should I just let it keep growing or wire the branches or something?

Potted this up over the weekend. Was good as had roots spiralling all around the pot it was in.

Pretty happy with how it looks actually, almost like a proper bonsai!

I am still unsure if the direction this will take, would love to hear some ideas [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

Good start, Zim. This fig was started in that pot by seed and never had a single repot. The roots would have been a complete mess. It was just a weird experiment I had going.

Look up banyan style bonsai. Fuku is a good place to start. See what you like and think about how you would go about creating something similar.

That big pot will help growth and development. Good choice.

We keep all the comp trees in the comp threads so thta when the next comp rolls around we can move to the new Refine thread.

Ah ok cheers Ken

Awesome thanks Joel! Yeah I thought I out it in a massive pot and let it power on for a couple of years in it. What year did yoi plant the seed?

This one's powering along, I semi defoliated it a couple of weeks ago.

Should I do anything or just let it keep growing?

Got bored and thought I'd wire this thing for practice.
