Watering into next year

Australian conditions vary from one extreme to another. What do you do and when do you do it?

Watering into next year

Post by Damian Bee »

28 degrees predicted for thursday in Melbourne. If you have been in a state of irrigation relaxation of late, be warned as new tender shoots may be burnt back if you aren't watching the moisture levels in your pots. The 28 will be preceeded by a couple of dry days with temps building from 21 to 25 and then 28 which is then supposed to drop down to showers and temps in the 18-20 degree range.

Also concerning Australia, El Niño is predicted to return next year so if you have fallen into a relaxed state regarding watering or re-potting over the past couple of years, take care as there is nothing worse than losing branches or even a tree you have invested time and/or money on ;)
