In Melbourne?

Australian conditions vary from one extreme to another. What do you do and when do you do it?

In Melbourne?

Post by Damian Bee »

If you are planning on a weekend away it is going to be a scorcher tomorrow in Melbourne, make sure you have watered everything well and put the recently repotted into the shade. Even a little seaweed solution would not go astray
34 is the predicted top with light winds, bye bye azalea flowers :crybye: see you next year
The end of next week is predicted to be similar, a nice prelude to summer.

Yep decided tomorrow is the day i'm going to get my watering system in. Nothing beats hand watering but having a water system set up will help. I'll have it on a timer to water early morning and late evening. I'll check each day to make sure it has covered everything but will make a difference. I was hoping for a good day as I'm chasing snapper for most of the afternoon/evening :tu: :tu:

Heading out from Carrum on a charter. A few mates booked it. Leaving at 2;30 coming back about 8:30pm. They have been on the bite so we're hoping. I've got a hobie pro angler so I'm heading out on tuesday chasing snapper again :fc: :fc:

G'day Josh.

How many of you guys were responsible for that haul?

I was out on Friday morning up the top end of the bay.
Great session with 7 good fish (Snapper) and around 20 odd flatties.
Awesome session.

Then off to work!
One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

There was 30 guys all up. 3 boats organised. Our boat got that haul, one of the other boats got 4 and the tird boat got 1. We were pretty happy. There were heaps of boats out there. I'm going out on Tuesday in the yak but not sure where yet.

Yes Damian.

Rain water just has those secret herbs and spices doesn't it!?

Hopefully we get some good storms out of this system..
Next to Bonsai - I love a good storm...

If you had been under a rock (which sometimes I am ) for the past 5-6 months and just crawled out you would swear it was the longest sleep peppered with dreams of spring-early summer work on your trees and the odd nightmare about extremely hot days.
It is however mid summer and that's right, with one hand I am reaching for the tissues to stop my runny nose while turning up the heater with the other.
A top of 22 deg with showers. It is the 3rd of Feb right :lost:
