Hope u guys are keeping the water up. We un NE Vic are lucky enought to get the next 7 days 38 and above. 43 predicted today.
I work 5 days a week like many so my auto watering system is set to dump twice a day during these temps. One hot day and under warer can destroy years of work.

:crikey: Best of luck and good watering to everyone in this heat. I watered my garden for six hours (bore) yesterday until the wind began..luckily no wind today as yet so will water again soon. All my fruit held well on big trees and no damage thus far to pots or bonsai. 42 yesterday for us (SW V)and not quite again today......then we get some relief. Much worse for SA and Northern Vic I think. Thinking of you all and hoping things cool down for you too.

Not too bad here, only 38 today and just finished splashing so water around after work.
Morning automatic and a hand water in the arvo on these hot ones.

Stay cool guys.

I actually used an oscillating sprinkler to water right over the shade cloth today. Worked like a charm. Gave each section 3 hours.

Certainly plenty of stress out trees as my place. Unfortunately I work shift work and have no automatic watering so a couple have been a little limp once or twice this last few days. Although no casualties as yet!

Yep we are about the same. No relief for about 8 days it seems. Get your water wand ready.

I reprogrammed my Auto mist sprinklers. Now they are set 4 times a day, 10 minutes a time and 3 stations all for the bonsai plants. That's 2 hrs of the water running a day. Not to mention the lawn and plants In the garden.

Made it through our first heatwave which included two 45 degree days. Got another one coming In a couple days with similar temps expected.

Worst thing is I'm going on a holiday with three 42 to 45 days expected. 100 percent reliance on my tap timer :fc: :fc: :shake: :shake:

Just a quick pic of my auto system in action . I have it set up for 2 areas .One is the main bench that I have programmed to come on twice a day for 14 min . The second is the area surrounding the bench that has 5 360degree sprinklers that flood this area again twice a day for 14 min . The system has been very reliable , allows 8 stations with only one failure (power outage that the battery backup didn't kick in ) in the last 5 years .
Ill get more pics of the system in action.
