Fig leaf damage

Post by Matt S »

Hi Everyone,

A friend of mine sent me this picture of a leaf from his Port Jackson Fig. He says it's on all the new growth until the leaves fully open and then the spots gradually disappear. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Looks like Thrips, pluck the leaves off and dispose of them and repeat as necessary.
That is what I do at least.

Hi Matt,

To get a positive identification check if the little beggars are still between the folded leaf margins.
