When I go from one nursery to the other looking for figurines to complement my Bonsai, with a few exceptions, they are all generally the same. I also don't think the level of detail is particularly good to be honest with you either. Anyway, what I would like to know is, for those who have been to nurseries oversees, is there a wider or different range available? If so, what types? Can you add some photos perhaps? or.....does anyone know a website where you can order good quality figurines online?
Many Thanks

Re: Figurines
Hi Jester,
A little while ago Leong had some brilliant little figurines. The detail was awesome. They cost a bit more, but they were worth it.
Cheers,
Leigh.

Re: Figurines
Hi,
not that I use figurines on my bonsai, but I do collect old ones just for the sake of it.
Try searching e-bay under "Antique Bonsai" (worldwide not Aus).
You'll be surprised how often they come up at reasonable prices
cheers

Re: Figurines
Hey Guys,
I did see a web site which you could buy from a few years ago called crashbonsai.com
Whilst I found it slightly ammusing, there was nothing there that realy interested me. Have a look for your selves I guess?
Thanks,
Mac

Re: Figurines
I have a vast collection of small goat figures which are of the best quality. These have been added to by the family at every opportunity like birthdays, father's day, christmas, easter etc.
Occasionally a small family herd of goats may be seen in some of my group or forest plantings but in general, I don't add figures to my bonsai trees.
'Mud men' so called, are the usual ones used in saikei compositions.
