Well Priced Scissors and Concave Cutters

Post by Jester »

 Does anyone actually actually acquire any of the above via mail order because the prices are significantly better than ther nurseries? I am interesting in getting a few stainless steel bits and pieces.

Hi Jester,

I know tools are expensive, but I would encourage for you to support the locals shops before going online for tools, I always find it better to hold the tool in my hand to get a feel for it before purchasing. I've purchased tools online and have come across some really dodgie tools...
Otherwise you can check some tools out here, nice quality but not cheap:

David Rojo is the distributor of Kikuwa tools, he should be able to help.

I can't argue with you there Elias. Point well taken. I definitely don't want to see any more Bonsai nurseries closing down.

I get my gear from Leigh. Good prices and they get here pretty fast.

I know they have stainless tools as I am looking at replacing my heavily used scissors with a pair of Stainless ones. Will keep the originals for rough hacking

I am still undecided on the quality of tools I want to purchase. Talking about it with a Poll he said that his second pair of branch cutters were an upmarket set and he dropped them not long after purchase and knocked a big chip out of the blade. I deformed a set of Kiku just after purchase so I feel more comfortable with a cheap set that I can throw in my bag and replace when needed. I guess I will have to buy a decent pair of branch cutters and make my own decision from there.
