Ok,

does anyone have a miracle solution for cleaning their rotary carving tool bits and or burrs? I would prefer not wire brushing or other abrasive methods as they can and do tend to dull the edges on the tools.

I give my Dremel structured carbide balls with 1/4" shank to my girlfriend when they clog up. She gets the loose bits out with tweezers and then puts them in the dishwasher. Bonsai pots needing a clean go in as well

and an old toothbrush mate, works a treat

Apparently the cleaner used on aliminum wheel rims works read it in a post from one of the pommie pages.
Have not tried it myself, just soak them and brush after.

I saw a recently (a week ago) who said they used alloy wheel cleaner, and a few people who agreed with the idea, he said he just poured some in to a container covering the burr, let it soak for 20mins, and used jet setting on his hose to rinse it off, going by the pics it worked really well. - just wished I book marked the page for you

Julie would try and shove them where they do not fit if I tried that!!!

Maybe Bougy is just a bit scared to commit?

Have to get some wheel cleaner and try, I usually just pick the bits off myself

Spray with WD40. Leave overnight. Will come off very easily then with a soft brush

Hi all, saw a dermal wood carver on YouTube and he burns his Tar and dust blocked dremal carving bits then wire brushes the ash off. It did the job. Made sense to me. Cheers
