This has made a task very enjoyable . I have seen the results from last years grafts from a club member so impressed I purchased this tool myself .
This trunk had 3 grafts attached in less than 10 minutes that includes taking the pics A ferw days ago I hooked into a couple of other crab apples and while I was keen managed to do a few cherries as well missed a graft here but I can simply re cut it and attach another piece , Wifey must have come home from work .
Being house bound has its advantages , tasks get done outside unbeknown to the wife .

there is a series of cutters available along with spares from some suppliers . I planned to take this to last months club meeting but illness struck and that put a damper on the plans Grafting tool

Re: Grafting tool
After asking that I realised I can just google it. Considering my age, that should have been my first thought. Anyway it looks super simple! https://youtu.be/wL_rc_fEsK4
Thanks

Re: Grafting tool
Hi Raymond B , mate they are available on Ebay from $14.95 for a basic tool up to around $28 for the full kit . It's dead easy and the union can only be seen by the bark differences after 12 months . I intend to try a couple of pines and junipers , just gotta try it cos I can

Re: Grafting tool
Hi Ben Thomas , mate it is awesome if the material is similar in diameter there just perfect cut/unions . The labour saved can be put to better use .
