Zeo-Clor is a product sold for pool filters at the big shed. It is a small particle size about 2-3mm. $27 a bag.

One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Hi Mike,
It has particles around 5 to 6mm but also a lot of fines down to almost dust. I suppose you could sieve it, but I have been only using 10 to 15% in a mix as is, with Diatomite and Small Scoria which keep it open.

I bought some bags from fernland, they're great, they give you an option for them to find the cheapest freight to your location...and since I bought quite a few bags the freight was worth it, only added $2 per bag.

Hi Mike,
The particle size is up to an absolute maximum of 6mm or so but it varies and there are plenty of fines. In terms of particle size it can be a bit inconsistent. I tend to sift and use the larger stuff, but also add smaller for shohin and finer mixes. Like I said, I'm happy with how it is going in my mixes but I should add Zeolite only makes up a small % of my mix. Hope that helps! If I had a bag on hand I would take a photo of contents, but unfortunately I have none on hand at the moment.
