I am really looking forward to this one . Hoping to make my first pot, I have a design in mind and it will be great to get some expert advise on how to do it . Graham has quite a large collection of trees that he has collected which I could easily spend another day admiring again .
He lives out the back of nowhere ;) ,but it's worth the drive .
Graham how long does it take to drive from Canberra to Bombala ?

The Snowy Mob will be gathering again in 2016 . We intend to make our get together the second Saturday of each month , starting with January 16 th and February 13 th . These first two and several others will be in Centennial Park Cooma , in the centre of town . If you are nearby make the effort and pay us a visit .
Donations of coffee gratefully received .

Several people turned up in the park in Cooma to get involved in Bonsai . The day was hot but the large English Elms threw enough shade to keep us comfortable until after noon . Graham brought along some Japanese Maples and we all got busy putting on air layers ( yes in the late summer - seperate thread maybe ? ) . A few branches were trimmed and lots of discussion took place .
People are now looking forward to future activities .

I style Bonsai naturally, just as they would appear in the wild.

We are still feeding our addiction to Bonsai up here in the mountains . Last Saturday we set up four tables in the park and six enthusiasts , including one newcomer, filled them with trees . Many people came and talked to us . Asked all the standard questions , such as , "How old is it ?" and " How much is it ? " . Six people put their names on an email list . We worked on a pine , advised on a couple of other trees and handed out some pots which were a gift from a former Bonsai dealer . All in all a great day , the extra interest from a small amount of publicity kept us there long after our usual knock off time .
Cheers

This is such a great idea. Wish there was more of this happening in my local area. The bonsai shows are an effort to host and too few.
