Bonsai at the Bay
I run a small bonsai nursery at Woollamia not to far from Huskisson. Bonsai at the Bay. My name is Mason Keane. I was just wondering if any ausbonsai members have stumbled across my nursery. I would love to chat. Brett Summers led me to this sight. Night all.

G'day Mason and welcome to AusBonsai!
Why not post your full address and opening hours so we can find you better. Some pictures of your nursery would be great too!
Regards,
Steven

Re: Bonsai at the Bay
Thanks Steven for the response I will work out how to load photos onto the sight in the next day or two and burden you with pictures. I am at 6 Streamside St Woollamia 2540. About 20 minutes south of Nowra. I teach during the day(high school) but there is generally someone at the nursery all the time.

Hey Mason great to see you here. Believe me the pictures will not be a burden to us
As Mason knows I visited the Nursery a couple of months back and was very impressed with the stock he has for sale.

It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

Gidday Brett I am enjoying this sight already, I have been on for approx 30 minutes and there is a lot of great info and networks. I hope I can slot in somewhere and hopefully impress some bonsai fans with our style/ styling.

Re: Bonsai at the Bay
Now I must be getting a bit better at navigating the site, very impressed with the collective knowledge floating around the sight. Having a nursery and growing area in the sticks I become a little insular with new ideas as a lot of my growing is clip and grow wait a couple seasons then style and the routine continues. So it is wonderful reading about others experiments and work you are doing in bonsai. I have started platting maples and oaks when they are year old seedlings and am starting to have wonderful success with them now two and three years down the track. I will post some pictures on the weekend of how the trucks have fused together. Very cool. Here are a couple of shots of some ground grown crabapples and elms we have done at Bonsai at the Bay. Enjoy I hope.

Gday Mason, and welcome to AB.C!
I've taken the liberty of rotating your Crabapple pic - I hope you don't mind. What a whopper! Interesting buttressing going on too.
Keep those photos coming!
Thanks.
FlyBri.

Re: Bonsai at the Bay
G, day Mason Sorry for being slack and not giving you a typical A B welcome but I have been busy trying to sort out my freaking video camera.
The other reason the real one is I am pissed of coz I cant import crabapples.
That is some serious stock.you have there. Wireing will give you quicker results.
The other thing is I doubt I will stumble any time soon. Again welcome to the site AusBonsai Pup

Re: Bonsai at the Bay
Thank you for the compliments re: stock trees, and thank you for rotating the crabapple, it does look a lot better.
Just thought I would show you a ground grown Japanese black pine, then after its first style (still rough but getting better) and some chunky tridents (no leaf) and a couple solid elms (ground six years).
Thanks Mase Just an after thought here is my Acacia Howitii (excuse spelling) last spring, we have bees which helps.
