Great talk Lindsay! Loved it, and I was really inspired afterwards. Thanks.
I really do wish they'd hurry up and grow.

I'm with you Webos.....
Unless I am dreaming I thought there was a post which requested that everyoone brought along water bottles - which I am intrigued to learn about. (I could also be getting very mixed up here )
Either way, what a coo in getting the big man to present.
Regards
Steve

Re: Yarra Valley Bonsai Society
Lindsey talked to us about breaking down old traditions and thinking for ourselves. He discussed how Australian bonsai was stuck in the ideas that were first taught to us many years ago, and how bonsai in Japan has evolved yet we seem to be still looking back.

Thanks Jarrod.
It would have been a great night and I am sure Lindsay would have been pretty convincing with such a discussion

Re: Yarra Valley Bonsai Society
Jarrod's description is concise. What he didn't mention is that the clearing that opened up for the participants on Tuesday night was driven and created by the group.
This workshop will not function properly if the participants are no open to new possibilities.
Thanks for the opportunity and for the kind words.

With thinking like that and passing it on Australian Bonsai can only go forward.
I would have loved to have been there but its a long bloody drive.
Thank you very much for passing that onto your fellow members. It might start some discussion. Cheers Pup

Re: Yarra Valley Bonsai Society
It was put that it will only go forward when we do progress. It was a passionate enticement for everyone to not be so locked into the left/right/back etc... mindset and to experiment with your imagination. It was convincing and inspiring stuff! With thinking like that and passing it on Australian Bonsai can only go forward.
I really do wish they'd hurry up and grow.
