Bonsai South whats there?

Want to know what Bonsai South in NSW has to offer in terms of specie stock?
Starters, Pre starters - Bonsai ready??
Does BS have different juniper species, cedar, spruce, larch etc...?

Would like to know what others have experienced from first impression.

It is my standard nursery. Excellent quality stock at all levels. From my point of view, best feature is vast selection of advanced junis and pines - better than anywhere else I have ever visited (and I have visited throughout NSW and also in QLD).

I frequently vist this nursery and love it!

The variety of stock there is quite good, like mentioned previously the juniper stock it very good! there are big and small swamp cypress, figs, elms just to name a few that have either been collected or field grown.
The quality trees such as figs and pines that are on display are reason enough for a visit!

I bought 1 book about pines at Ray Nesci and was published/created by Leong himself, quite good to teach a noob like myself with JBP/JWP Hatsukasa

Went to Bonsai South again yesterday, so impressed by his stock and the variety in age/size he has.

I'm only a beginner but have been to a few nurseries and in my opinion his starter stock is the best I've seen so far. Though I'm now looking for something a bit bigger and the variety hit me, he seems to have great stock of all sizes at good prices.

I have never been there before but love the forum on the website too. Got some great "virtual" friends there.
I would recommend it as a place to share bonsai ideas and get help too.

I'll put in my recommendation too!

Got some great stock from there over the last few years. Several of my best trees originated there as pre-bonsai. Leong and his staff/volunteers are very forthcoming with information and advice if you ask and his display trees are beautiful. Best figs I've seen in Australia, although I know a number of the big figs were imported.

Definitely worth a look.
