It is advisable... there are stories of visitors entering the shade house, only to re-emerge 2 weeks later disheveled and blabbering incoherently!Inspired wrote: Will need to bring my sleeping bag n gear along

Re: Bonsaisensation
I'm going to The Real Madrid V Man City game on the 24th. Would love to do a re con mission on the Saturday.
Looks like it takes 50mins on the train from Flinders St to Narre Warren and then about a 20 min walk to the Nursery (Im a very fast walker)
Does this sound right? Is the walk ok or will I be in the bike lane of a freeway!?
Then I can suss it out, drive down from Sydney another time and load up!

Really?! Wow thanks..... I will let you know 100 percent within the next week or so. Should I just call the Nursery on a weekday and ask for you?bonsaisensation wrote:hi ReeseReece wrote:I'm going to The Real Madrid V Man City game on the 24th. Would love to do a re con mission on the Saturday.

Both trees are going great!
Haven't really touched the cedar. He needs a light prune.
The juniper is close to being styled like I want it. I'm going to change the angle in the pot in Spring and then get it into a bonsai pot over the next couple of years. Ill put a picture up when I get the angle right and finish styling it.
Love both of them.......
Thanks again Tien!

Re: Bonsaisensation
Wow you've got Itoigawa growing.. can't wait to see them!
As for the elusive Taiwan Juniper if anyone has one please share a photo. I'd love to own one if that was a possibility.
My previous trip to Taiwan, I just had to see these specimens and spend some quality time with them. Though I did not have time to go to the ancient mountains, I did see landscape TJs in the presidential palace and even then they are just amazing up close.
The foliage (which is hard to appreciate in photos) is just naturally so beautiful.. just something about them thats hard to say
As for Bonsaisensation, hope to make a visit at some point soon.
