Whats Barrys Nursery Like?
Problem is its almost impossible to make a living cultivating Bonsai professionally in Australia.
Few Australians care about it and less understand it or respect it enough to pay $$$ for Trees.
Until it becomes a valued art form here it will always be a hobby.

Barry is an eccentric character and his nursery reflects this, crammed full of trees, pots, birds and various items he has collected overseas. He caters mostly to people who know little about bonsai and nothing is marked with a price which can lead to frustration. There's an interesting selection of pots but not much at the high end.
However he is the only person I know who has made a decent living from Bonsai for over 30 years. He offers free lifetime service for any trees sold and as a result he has many loyal customers. Experienced bonsai people won't find many high quality advanced trees but it's always worth a visit if you're in Adelaide.
